We sang this at all state choir this year. It was one of my favorite songs. We made lots of people cry and it was just such a heart warming song. I still think about it all the time.

I remember being invited to sing this (among other songs) in Carnegie Hall NYC back in 2018. I was still only in middle school at the time, but I still remember that concert well to this day. This one was my favorite to sing. I'm here, typing this tonight at almost 4 in the morning because I can't sleep. I lost my senior cat who was with me for 12 years back in April, and the grief is fresh tonight. I came back to this song because I remembered it hoping it would help me calm down, and it did. Thank you, Mr Reese, for an experience of a lifetime, and for your music to still be impactful for me 5 years later.
